Calm Cool Kids Professional Development Workshops/Trainings for Your School

Participates will walk away with a deeper understanding the neuro-science of human brain, trauma informed practices for students with ACES. A breakdown of   what happens when students and teachers Flip Their Lids, and how to become a Calm Cool Kid. Teachers and administrators will learn implementation for incorporating the core mindfulness practices to meet school wide Social-Emotional Learning Goals.

Calm Cool Kids is a workshop designed specifically for your educational staff and school personnel to assist with knowledge and understanding of how to meet your SEL professional development goals. Participants will walk away with first hand experiences and practical strategies to assist your students in optimal learning potential including sustained attention and focus, self management/reflection and self and social regulation skill development. In addition, participants will learn the foundation of mindfulness for self and how to convey these practices to your students. This unique and dynamic experiential offering includes all 5 SEL program competencies specific for your age and grade level.

Collaboration in the Classroom

Calm Cool Kids Classroom Collaboration for you and your students!

Looking for a unique opportunity to collaborate professionally with Kellie? Reserve your space for a day of Calm Cool Kid team time.  Kellie will bring Calm Cool Kids to your classroom and offer a personal approach to teaching your students what it means to be a Calm Cool Kid.

Consider scheduling a daylong co-teaching event for you and your students with my Calm Cool Kids educational in class workshop offering. Students will experience first hand learning about their amazing brain and the power of neuro-plasticity. They will be introduced to their Thinking Brain aka The Prefrontal Cortex where all new learning takes place and what happens when their Protecting Brain aka The Amygdala is in charge. Students will explore the Fight/Flight/Freeze modalities of the brain, learn about Grit and Resilience and how mindfulness strategies can help them when their worry brain, embarrassed brain, overwhelmed brain or confused brain is in charge.

Literacy and Art Workshop

Calm Cool Kids Family Enrichment
(Training for Students, Staff and Families)

Consider inviting Kellie and her daughter Hannah Bailey for an evening of exploring Calm Cool Kids and the Brain with your parents and students. All Participants will walk away with first-hand knowledge regarding what happens to our bodies, hearts and brains when we Flip Our Lids and learn social/emotional tools to keep us Calm and Cool. Hannah will explore the world of self regulation and social management with students while they create their own unique art piece. Kellie will teach families, caregivers and educators about how toxic stress impacts the body, heart and brain and how mindfulness practices can help to reset, reframe and refocus for optimal health and well being.

Mindfulness Teacher Training

Are you and your staff interested in becoming more effective at keeping your kids Calm and Cool? Consider a signing up for my mindfulness training course. You and your colleagues will learn the 6 essential mindfulness foundation practices to help you keep your body and brain calm even in the most heightened moments of student and classroom upset. Self Care is the number factor in your ability to maintain compassion and empathy. Learn the science behind why your students Flip Their Lids and the impact this has on you as their main source of support during their day to day development while in school. Together you will learn the basic neuroscience of the human brain, review ACES and the Impact on SEL and Character Development in humans and develop your own mindfulness practices:
